Badminton is taught at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), Spring Semester and Fall Semester.

 

This exciting course for novice and refresher students teaches fundamentals of the game.
Included are instructions on racket orientation, rules, courtesies, serving, power hitting, deception, drops, backhands footwork, singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and lots of games.

Course Objectives:

Develop competitive recreational skill or higher.
Develop solid fundamentals of the game.
Opportunities to develop and display strategy, sportsmanship, and self realization.
Understand and follow the rules and courtesies of the game.
Broaden knowledge, appreciation, and enjoyment of the game of badminton.
