Locations and Schedules

Las Vegas open play formats are fairly consistent with open play formats across the U.S. Players simply show up at the scheduled date and time, with appropriate clothing and equipment. Badminton equipment is available at each of the several sites, and information about the equipment is available at Las Vegas Badminton (702) 855-0479. There is a $2 fee at most locations.

Currently the Las Vegas sites do not play the traditional three-game match. We play one game. Scoring goes to 21 points at all sites, and exceptions will be pointed out.

There are court courtesies that are traditionally recognized within the badminton community, and these courtesies are recognized in Las Vegas. These practices may be explained by (or reviewed with) the supervisor at each site. Fundamental to these practices is that each player should take a bird on to the court each time he or she plays. If your bird is not used, it may then be taken back to one's off-court bag afterwards. One more courtesy bears mention. If you are using a court simply for practice or leisurely fun, limit your court time when others are waiting to play.

At every one of our several playing sites in Las Vegas, ice is kept on hand for emergencies. If any player would like to have ice for an ankle, knee, shoulder, etc., you need only to inform the badminton supervisor who will get it for you. If you would like ice, not during play but at the end of the program, inform the supervisor before hand so you don't interrupt shutdown operations.

HOUSE RULES:

  1. Sign in at the Lobby Desk upon arrival.

  3. Each player takes one shuttlecock to the court for EACH game.
